19 yr old rapes chicken to death in Ondo, said a spirit directed him to do that.
A 19 year old
welder apprentice was caught yesterday August 19th after having sex with
a chicken at the Continental area of Akure, the Ondo state
capital.According to reports by Vanguard, the boy was discovered to have committed the act after the owner of the chicken, Mrs Stella Akintola, who is the boy's neighbor and reared chickens in the compound, heard her chickens making noise inside their pen and decided to go and find out why they were restless. When she got to her hen pen, the young man surfaced from a corner and said he had stomach upset and was on his way out of the compound toilet. Mrs Akintola not suspecting anything then moved to use the compound toilet where she discovered one of her chickens lying dead in the toilet.
When she tried to raise an alarm, the young man quickly appealed to her not to shout confessing that he was responsible for the chickens death and promised to replace the dead chicken. However when she examined the chicken with some of her neighbors, they discovered that the young man had actually had sex with the chicken until it died.
His neighbours said it wasn't his first time, that he'd been driven out of his village, Afo in Ose council area of the state after being caught having sex with a goat. He moved out of the village to stay with his brother in Akure where he committed the same act.
When interrogated, the suspect said a spirit actually directed him to commit the crime.
"I was already sleeping when a spirit just came upon me and directed me to go to the back of the building. I did not know what I was doing again until when I discovered that I had slept with the hen.” he said

The White House said that U.S. intelligence agents were working to verify the authenticity of a video.
The
Islamic State had not previously executed American citizens publicly.
The video was posted after the United States resumed air strikes in Iraq
for the first time since the end of the U.S. occupation in 2011.
The Sunni militant group has declared a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria in areas it controls.
The video opened with a clip of U.S. President Barack Obama saying he had authorized strikes in Iraq.
"Obama
authorizes military operations against the Islamic State effectively
placing America upon a slippery slope towards a new war front against
Muslims," words appear in English and Arabic on the screen.
It showed black and white aerial footage of air strikes with text saying "American aggression against the Islamic State"
A
person identified as James Foley and wearing an orange outfit is seen
kneeling in the desert as a man in black dress with a black mask stands
beside him, holding a knife.
"I call on my friends family
and loved ones to rise up against my real killers, the U.S. government,
for what will happen to me is only a result of their complacency and
criminality," the kneeling man says.
The
man in the mask speaks in a British accent and says: "This is James
Wright Foley, an American citizen, of your country. As a government, you
have been at the forefront of the aggression towards the Islamic
State."
"Today your military
air force is attacking us daily in Iraq. Your strikes have caused
casualties amongst Muslims. You are no longer fighting an insurgency. We
are an Islamic army, and a state that has been accepted by a large
number of Muslims worldwide."
Following his statement he beheads the kneeling man.
At
the end of the video, words on the side of the screen say "Steven Joel
Sotloff" as another prisoner in an orange jumpsuit is shown on screen.
"The life of this American citizen, Obama, depends on your next decision," the masked man says.
Foley,
a freelance reporter, had been covering Syria’s civil war for
GlobalPost. In 2011, he was held for 45 days by forces loyal to former
Libyan leader Muammar Gadaafi.
Sotloff
is also a freelancer journalist with published stories in Time Magazine
and Foreign Policy. He has worked in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
White
House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said: "We have seen a video that
purports to be the murder of U.S. citizen James Foley by ISIL. The
intelligence community is working as quickly as possible to determine
its authenticity.
"If
genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American
journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and
friends."
Islamic State also
released another video on Tuesday that gave the strongest indication yet
it might attempt to strike American targets.
The video with the theme "breaking of the American cross" boasts
Islamic State will emerge victorious over "crusader" America.
It
follows a video posted on Monday, warning of attacks on American
targets if Washington struck against its fighters in Iraq and Syria.

1 person dead, 9 maimed as boat exploded in lagos.
The boat, which belonged to Aquitien Oil and Gas Limited, was reportedly heading to Apapa from Lekki.
The boat was said to be carrying 10 people out of which one, identified as Emmanuel Onu, has been confirmed dead.
Some of the victims’ were yet to be found and relatives of the supposed survivors have said that they have not been informed of the whereabouts of their loved ones.
The boat was said to have caught on fire while the operator was trying to refuel .

Rochas Okorocha is an embarrassment to democacy-Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has described Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State as an embarrassment to democracy and a disaster waiting to happen.
Jonathan, who was represented by the Foreign Affairs Minister, 1, Professor Viola Onwuliri, at the Iriji Mbaise New Yam Festival, spoke to journalists after the event saying from the conduct of the governor, it was obvious that he was not interested in the festival but just came to create confusion and derail the event.
She said: “Since Okorocha assumed office in 2011, he has never attended the Iriji Mbaise until this one that precedes the election year. This is not the ground for venting personal animosities. He even left before the actual ceremony began. He just brought trouble to the event and this is an embarrassment to the state and its people. I am positive that by 2015, we will all have a chance to redress this anomaly.”
The 2014 Yam Festival, at some point, turned into a political rally of sorts with Okorocha and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, relentlessly fighting for supremacy.
It was apparent however that the Mbaise nation was not too receptive to the fact that the governor tried to engage their son in their own soil. Okorocha’s microphone was intermittently switched off for as long as five minutes, as the people jeered the governor.
Receiving the governor to Mbaise, Ihedioha pointedly told Okorocha that he (Okorocha) would as a matter of necessity hand over to him in 2015, noting that the governor’s exit was not negotiable.
Ihedioha also held the governor to task on what he described as “lack of state government presence in Mbaise.”
According to the deputy speaker, “The major projects in Mbaise are those executed by the federal government. In the few areas credited to the state government, we only see projects that are very poorly executed.
“It is evident that the governor has run out of ideas, so as a matter of expediency, it is expected that he would hand over the reins in 2015 so we can help out.”
Responding, an angry Okorocha said: “The green cap (referring to Ihedioha’s trademark cap) will not make anybody governor of Imo State and as a matter of fact, there is nobody in the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who is his match in an electoral contest. My three years in office is more productive than the 12 years spent in the state by the PDP. Imo people have rejected PDP because PDP is worse than the Ebola virus.”
Okorocha’s microphone was switched off again when he said he had laid the foundation for a campus of the Imo State University to be sited in Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency.
The crowd booed what they described as a Greek gift that was intended for political convenience.
The confusion degenerated into a free for all between Okorocha’s supporters and those of Ihedioha, but the security personnel on ground contained it in good time before whisking the governor away to safety.
While many believed Okorocha fled the event long before the breaking of kola nuts and the address of the president, his supporters said he left for another assignment.
Meanwhile, Ihedioha has asked Okorocha to apologise to the Mbaise people for defiling their custom and tradition.
The deputy speaker said this in reaction to a statement by the state government which asked Ihedioha to apologise to the governor for the embarrassment and disgrace the latter brought to the event.
“The deputy speaker and other Mbaise leaders believed that it was the governor who actually owes the Mbaise people an apology for disrupting the event after coming late in his characteristic manner and defiling the treasured cultural values and tradition of Iri Iji Mbaise,” a statement by Chibuike Onyeukwu issued on behalf of the deputy speaker said.
Ihedioha said it was a blatant lie by the state government that he did not welcome the governor to the event, noting that even though Okorocha had an ulterior motive for attending the festival only after spurning invitations in the past three years, he still gave him the courtesy of welcoming him as chief guest of honour.
The statement clarified: “It is on record (and for the avoidance of doubt, the tape of the event can be cross checked by members of the public) that the deputy speaker did not only welcome Okorocha to the event but also enjoined him to accept the kolanut offered to him as chief guest of honour.
“This was in spite of suspicion of an ulterior motive by the Mbaise people on the part of the governor who had found it convenient to ignore several invitations to attend ‘Iri Iji’ Mbaise in the past three years and suddenly decided to attend this year’s edition for obviously sinister political reasons. The Mbaise people and friends of the nation present at the event easily saw through this facade and pretense.”
Ihedioha said the governor’s recourse to attacking him simply confirms the fact that “the governor holds him (Ihedioha) in trepidation and is at a loss as to how to address his growing popularity and acceptance among the Imo people vis-a-vis his (Okorocha’s) fast declining rating among the people.”

APGA's leadership tussle is worsening as Mr Peter Obi tenders his resignation letter as the party BoT Chairman. That made Chief Victor Umeh calling him an Ingrate.Just few hours ago Mr Peter Obi media aides Barr. Valwentine Obienyem lambasted Umeh for calling his boss an ingrate.Below is his post on his facebook wall.
Reacting to Chief Vioctor Umeh, Obi’s Media aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem said that even till today, Mr. Peter Obi remained the face of APGA and a consistent APGA member.. If Obi had not stayed in court to regain his mandate, to fight his impeachment, to seek tenure interpretation, there would have been no APGA today. If he had not supported the present Governor under APGA, the Party would have ceased to exist. He saw the party to its second tenure in Anambra and in the end handed over to an APGA elected Governor. During electioneering, Anambra people, including Umeh said APGA won because of Obi’s work in the State. Even when he was asked by Presidents of Nigeria to leave the party, he refused, the most recent being losing being appointed a Minister because he refused to join another party. Just in December, Sir Victor Umeh presented the most Consistent and Trustworthy Party Man’s Award to Obi. It is therefore unfortunate for anybody in Nigeria of today to call Mr. Peter Obi an ingrate, not to talk of APGA members.
Obi came to Anambra State and asked if the state was cursed or if Anambrarians were the cause. He thereafter promised to restore the State, the rebuild education and other infrastructure, to put Anambra on sound financial footing, to dismantle the parasites that fed fat on the State, to re-orientate the people of the State through right conduct. He achieved all that. Today Anambra State is better of.
Obi fulfilled his promises to everybody, including Chief Victor Umeh who is far far far better than he used to be before he met Obi.
Those who are ingrates are those who said he would become the Leader and Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, which could have been ratified the next day, but failed to do so for their selfish reasons.
Obi remains an APGA member and has only resigned from being the Leader and BOT designate, which was under perpetual process of being formalized. When does an option to reject the bishopric and become an ordinary member a sign of ingratitude?
As for those who left the party, it is an insult for anybody to accuse old men and women of being under Obi’s spell for that is the implication of saying that Obi was behind that.low is his post on his facebook page.

World’s most pierced man turned back at Dubai airport. See his tweets
The Information Technology, IT, worker who was recognized in 2012 by the Guinness Book of Record as world's most pierced man with 435 piercings plus two horns on his forehead, was billed to make an appearance at a hotel in Dubai but on arriving the Emirate airport, he was not cleared by the immigration officers. Instead he was immediately whisked into an Istanbul flight en-route Germany.

This kind of thing has never happened before, the boy has to face the music. The parents will perform traditional rites, it is going to cost about a hundred thousand Naira.
The boy knows what he is doing, he is not mad. We know him from the beginning, he was in school before he went to learn welding; may be the parents could not pay his school fees. We were even shocked he said he has had sex with dogs five times; that will tell you he knows what he is doing”.
400-member homosexual club discovered in Benue State
As Benue state continues to grapple with the rising figures of HIV/AIDS in the state, Executive Secretary of the Benue State Agency for the Control of Aids (BENSACA), Mrs. Grace Wende has revealed that the agency recently discovered a 400-member homosexuals club existing in Makurdi the Benue state capital.
She said the organisation otherwise known as Men Sleeping with Men, MSM, has a large membership of male students from higher institutions in the state.
Wende who made this disclosure yesterday at a one day Training of Media Practioners on HIV/AIDS in Makurdi, said the existence of the gay club in the state was not helping the state government’s efforts at curbing the spread of the HIV virus in the state.
According to her, “the club was discovered during an Epidermic appraisal carried out by our Canadian partners in colloboration with BENSACA following the state government’s resolve to fight the increasing trend of HIV/AIDs in the state as shown in 2011 survey.
”In fact my office is already interacting with the group of young men who are mostly undergraduates in various higher institution of learning located in the state.” She stressed that the idea of identifying with the MSM which usually holds their meetings in December in Makurdi was meant to reduce the spread of HIV virus commonly found among them.
Mrs Wende further urged all stakeholders to join the fight against the virus in the state, stressing, “there is a heightened need for scale-up of effective and efficient HIV prevention efforts in the state if we must all win this war against the virus.”
